Overview of Sessions
The Person - Centred Model of Counselling is used foremost as this model is consistent with client needs. A detailed discussion will be had around the hopes and wishes of the client during the first meeting. There will be plenty of opportunities to discuss the nature and intention of these counselling sessions and plenty of opportunity to review details during the following sessions.
Cost is £40 per hour (per individual session)
Note: It is requested that 48 hours' notification of cancellation is given. If the session is cancelled at short notice the counselor will request this agreed fee. The number of sessions required will be discussed during the contracting stage and then reviewed regularly. Sessions are usually based on a series of six followed by a review by client and counsellor.

Whatever your situation, it can be beneficial to seek help from a counsellor or therapist in order for you to see a way out and escape from a cycle of powerlessness. You deserve to be listened to with respect and without being judged if you choose to talk about your experiences.
Bereavement & Loss Counselling
Talking about the loss often allows a person to adjust to their new life with all its changes - good and bad. Keeping things bottled up or denying the sadness could prolong the pain. Any loss has to be acknowledged for us to move forward. Bereavement counselling tries to help people find a place for their loss so they can carry on with life and eventually find acceptance.
Living with a phobia means people are often in constant anguish about whether they may come into contact with what they are afraid of. However, continually trying to avoid a particular fear is likely to make it seem worse than it really is, and many people will start dreading confronting normal, everyday situations. Treatment for phobias can help to break this negative spiral and can help to get feelings of anxiety under control, counselling is often very effective at treating phobias.
